This comprehensive program covers various aspects of animal care, breeding, nutrition, and dairy technology, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to contribute to the agricultural and dairy sectors.

Course Duration

The course is a 2 year diploma program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the AHDP, applicants must have completed higher secondary education (10+2) in the PCB or Agriculture Stream with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

WHY CHOOSE AHPD ?

In Rajasthan, the livestock industry is vital to the state's economy. As per the Rajasthan Livestock Census, the state hosts around 13% of India's entire livestock population. With a consistent rise in the demand for dairy products, the industry is expected to expand by 6% annually, leading to a considerable need for skilled professionals in AHDP.

The AHDP program provides students with the entrepreneurial skills necessary to establish their own dairy farms, livestock breeding centers, or veterinary clinics. Graduates can also explore opportunities in dairy product processing and marketing, capitalizing on the increasing demand for high-quality dairy products.

Students of the AHDP program have the chance to pursue further studies in veterinary sciences, animal husbandry, dairy technology, and related disciplines. Advanced education can lead to specialization in fields such as animal genetics, veterinary medicine, and dairy engineering.

Proper animal husbandry practices are vital for public health. They ensure the production of safe and nutritious dairy products and maintain healthy livestock populations. These practices help control zoonotic diseases and enhance food safety standards.
